Citizens showed great interest in the store opening on Fevzi Fırat Street in Bayır Neighborhood, where special discounts and various advantageous campaigns were held. After announcing days in advance that many products would be offered at discounted prices for the opening, citizens lined up to purchase the products.
The crowd formed by hundreds of people turned into a stampede after the prayer and the cutting of the opening ribbon. Citizens who were able to enter the store competed with each other to reach the discounted products. Some citizens who wanted to enter fell to the ground due to the stampede and faced the risk of being trampled. Meanwhile, it was observed that some citizens had verbal disputes during shopping. Store owner Ahmet Salt stated that they opened the store due to the need in the city and mentioned that they encountered an unexpected stampede. Salt expressed that the campaign would last for one week.
