In Adana, Asad A. (23) and Abdulaziz E. (19), who shot two employees in a jewelry store and stole gold worth 3 million lira, were caught while returning in a car they bought with the robbery money, along with their accomplice Emrullah D. (20). Footage has emerged showing the suspects pouring out the money from the gold they exchanged and counting it while celebrating with each other.

On August 15th, around 09:00, a theft incident occurred in the Mirzaçelebi neighborhood of the Seyhan district in Adana. Syrian nationals Asad A. (23) and Abdulaziz E. (19), who concealed their faces with motorcycle helmets, entered the shop of jeweler Abdullah Damlakhı (27). The suspects threatened those inside with a gun and demanded the gold on the counter.
THEY SHOT THE EMPLOYEES AND STOLE THE GOLD
The suspects shot employees İbrahim Kesir (26) and Abdurrahman Gılleh (21) in the legs with a gun. While Abdulaziz E. waited by the employees, Asad A. filled a bag with gold and jewelry worth approximately 3 million lira from the counter and display case. The suspects, who ran out of the shop, escaped into an alley. The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance after health teams arrived at the scene following a tip-off, and they were discharged after treatment.
THEY EXCHANGED THE GOLD AND BOUGHT A CAR
Teams from the Robbery Bureau, which initiated an investigation into the theft, examined 900 hours of security camera footage from the area and identified the suspects. It was determined that the suspects, who were under technical surveillance by the police, had hidden in a field in the Çimeli neighborhood of the Karataş district after the robbery. Emrullah D. (20), who was said to have planned the robbery, was found to have picked up the two suspects in a car and taken them to a house in the Yeşilbağlar neighborhood of Yüreğir district. The suspects exchanged the gold at a jeweler in the district, then went to Osmaniye to buy a car and set off to return to the city.
THEY GOT CAUGHT ON THE WAY BACK
Upon these findings, the police took action and implemented security measures at the city entrance. Teams waiting by the roadside stopped the car in which the suspects were traveling. The three suspects, along with Hamid H. (28), were taken to the ground and handcuffed behind their backs for arrest. Meanwhile, teams searching the house where the suspects had been hiding seized 815,000 lira, believed to be obtained from the exchange of the stolen gold. The suspects and the car they were caught in were taken to the police station.
THEY COUNTED THE MONEY AND CELEBRATED
In the examination of the suspects' mobile phones, images were found showing them celebrating by pouring the money from the bags into the room. The footage showed Asad A. and Abdulaziz E., who carried out the robbery, counting the money and congratulating each other. It was also learned that the suspects shared a video they took while going to the robbery on social media. The suspects, who were interrogated, admitted to the charges against them.
3 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED
After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were brought to court, where Emrullah D., Asad A., and Abdulaziz E. were arrested, while Hamid H. was released under judicial control.
