VEHICLE OUT OF CONTROL ROLLED DOWN 22-METER RAVINE
The accident occurred yesterday at around 18:30 on the Oltu Ring Road in the Oltu district of Erzurum.
The light commercial vehicle with license plate 25 AFF 954, driven by B.Ş. (21), hit the median after its driver lost steering control.
The vehicle, which overturned due to the impact, went over the barriers in the opposite lane and rolled down an approximately 22-meter ravine. The vehicle was only able to stop after hitting the garden wall of a house in the Yasin Haşimoğlu neighborhood.
21-YEAR-OLD YOUNG MAN DIED AT THE SCENE
Following a report made after the accident, medical teams were dispatched to the area.
During the teams' inspection, it was determined that 21-year-old Kerim Can Aydın, who was in the vehicle, had died.
The injured driver B.Ş. (21), Eylül Ada Bayındır (15), and Z.N.A. (17) were taken by ambulances to Oltu State Hospital after receiving first aid at the scene.
SAD NEWS CAME FROM 15-YEAR-OLD EYLÜL
Eylül Ada Bayındır, who received initial treatment at Oltu State Hospital, was transferred to a hospital in Erzurum because her condition was serious.
Bayındır, 15, who was placed under treatment there, died despite all the doctors' efforts.
Thus, the number of people who lost their lives in the accident rose to 2.
