The 39-year-old man who went to meet the person he met online in Samsun experienced the shock of his life. It was alleged that the man, who claimed he was blackmailed after nude images of him were taken, was forced to take out a 300,000 TL loan through the banking app on his phone. Three of the four suspects detained in connection with the incident were arrested.
M.K., 39, who wanted to meet the person he met through a social media app in Samsun, was allegedly caught in a blackmail and extortion trap. It was claimed that the man, whose nude images were taken during the meeting, was threatened with these images and forced to take out a 300,000 TL loan from the bank, and the money was transferred to the suspects' accounts.
HE WENT TO THE MEETING, FACED BLACKMAIL
The incident occurred on October 22 in Anadolu Neighborhood of İlkadım district. M.K. went to the address given to him to meet the person he had met through the app named Hornet.
According to the allegation, M.K., whose nude images were taken there, was threatened with the use of the images. The suspects ensured that a 300,000 TL loan was taken out through the mobile banking application on the man's phone and transferred the money to their own accounts.
4 SUSPECTS CAUGHT
Acting on the complaint, teams from the Homicide and Robbery Bureau of the Public Order Branch Directorate of the Samsun Provincial Police Department detained E.Y. (21), M.Ö.K. (22), A.A. (25), and A.Ç. (23), who were determined to be linked to the incident.
3 PEOPLE ARRESTED
Following their procedures at the police station, suspects E.Y., M.Ö.K., and A.A. were referred to the courthouse, and they were arrested by the court they were brought before and sent to prison.
A.Ç., who was alleged to have arrived at the scene later, was released under judicial control conditions.
