The Greek Minister of Defense, Nikos Dendias, announced that they have initiated a comprehensive defense reform process within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for the national security of the country. GREECE TURNS TO DOMESTIC PRODUCTION IN DEFENSE

According to reports in the Greek media, Dendias expressed that they are focusing on local production by reducing dependence on foreign investments in defense technologies. In this context, he announced that the anti-drone system named "Kentauros" has been successfully tested and has started to be used in the naval fleet. He also pointed out that the development of the local defense industry is critical for the country's security and economic sustainability.

MISSILE SHIELD PLAN IN THE AEGEAN

Greek Minister Dendias announced a plan to create a new missile shield in the Aegean region, which has been a scene of dominance struggles between Turkey and Greece. "So far, the protection of the Aegean has been provided by our navy and the security of our airspace by our aircraft. However, we will add an innovative dimension to this structure," he said. He expressed that with the missile defense shield and a UAV-Drone counter system, not only military units but all national territories would be protected. Dendias emphasized that the missile wall to be established in the Aegean would provide the region with an impenetrable defense line.
