The trial of two defendants, one of whom is in custody, who caused the death of 15-year-old Alperen Ömer Toprak by punching him, continued in Bolu. It was revealed that the 13-year-old detained defendant shared a photo with a gun on his social media account about an hour before the incident. Additionally, it was learned that the grieving family received threatening messages from numbers registered abroad.
The trial of the defendants responsible for the death of 15-year-old Alperen Ömer Toprak in Bolu continued. It was revealed that armed posts were made on social media prior to the incident and that threatening messages were sent to Alperen's family.
KILLED BY A PUNCH
The incident occurred on June 12, 2025, at Kültür Park located on İsmetpaşa Street. According to allegations, a dispute broke out between 13-year-old S.Ş. and 15-year-old Alperen Ömer Toprak. As the argument escalated, S.Ş. punched Toprak. Due to the impact of the blow, Toprak collapsed to the ground and his heart stopped.
ARRESTED
Health teams who arrived at the scene upon notification revived Alperen Ömer Toprak with CPR. Toprak, who was taken to the hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions and passed away. Regarding the incident, 13-year-old S.Ş. and his 14-year-old friend E.Y. were detained by the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch. While S.Ş. was arrested, E.Y. was released under judicial control.
The second hearing of the case opened regarding the incident was held at the Bolu 1st High Criminal Court. Due to the young ages of the defendants, the hearing was conducted in a closed session. The court panel postponed the hearing to March 4 due to the autopsy report requested from the Forensic Medicine Institution not yet reaching the file.
THREATENING MESSAGES TO THE FAMILY
On the other hand, it was learned that the family of the deceased Alperen Ömer Toprak received threatening messages from numbers registered abroad, such as 'I will cut off your head and feed it to the dogs', 'I forgive my brothers who killed your son', 'Wasn't it very enjoyable how Alperen died?'

After the hearing, the family's lawyer Alper Coşkun made a statement in front of the courthouse, stating that the family had been subjected to threats, saying, "Today, the second hearing of the case was held. We are waiting for a report from forensic medicine. The only missing piece for the decision on the file to be made is the report expected from forensic medicine. I hope it concludes as soon as possible. Throughout this process, the family received messages like 'Alperen died so beautifully.'
