At the funeral of Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of Catholics, it was observed that three leaders did not adhere to the strict dress code. A funeral ceremony was held in St. Peter's Square for Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of Catholics and the President of the Vatican City, who passed away on April 21. The Pope's body was brought to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore to be buried after a 6-kilometer procession attended by thousands of people.

Turkey was represented at Pope Francis's funeral by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş. The ceremony was also attended by numerous leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian President Sergio Mattarella, German President Frank Walter Steinmeier, Argentine President Javier Milei, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, King Felipe VI of Spain, Prince William of the British Royal Family, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Palestinian Prime Minister Mustafa Muhammad, President of the European Council Antonio Costa, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
3 LEADERS WHO VIOLATED DRESS CODE
According to the strict dress code for the event in the Vatican, men are required to wear dark suits, long black ties, and white shirts. Shoes, long socks, coats, and umbrellas are also included in the rules. U.S. President Donald Trump attended the ceremony in a blue suit and a blue tie, while former U.S. President Joe Biden wore a blue tie, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky did not wear a tie. Trump was accused in the British media of violating the dress code at the Pope's funeral. All three leaders were accused of being "disrespectful" due to the majority of world leaders wearing black.
