12-YEAR COMPULSORY EDUCATION PERIOD
Speaking on Kanal 7 television, Tekin stated that the duration of compulsory education could be shortened due to societal expectations and the ease of access to information. Minister Tekin also reminded that the Higher Education Council (YÖK) is preparing to reduce undergraduate education to 3 years.

Tekin announced that the report, which has been worked on for a while, has been completed, saying, "We will present this to the esteemed President for approval. If a decision is made on this matter, there are different alternatives. We will most likely make a presentation regarding this in the first cabinet meeting," he said.
"NEXT YEAR'S CALENDAR WILL BE DESIGNED ACCORDINGLY"
Tekin also expressed that a decision will be made within this year, stating, "Next year's education calendar will be designed accordingly."
DATE FOR TEACHER APPOINTMENTS HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED
Minister Tekin, who also included the 2025 teacher appointments and the quotas of the National Education Academy in his agenda, stated that the KPSS and interview period has ended, saying, "We did this for the last time this year."
Tekin added that they will appoint 15,000 teachers on November 24, and said, "Starting from the beginning of 2026, we will initiate the education process for 10,000 teachers in the academy."
