In the Sivaslı district of Uşak, a couple lost their lives in a fire that broke out in a prefabricated house.
FLAMES ENGULFED THE ENTIRE HOUSE
A fire broke out for an undetermined reason in the prefabricated house where Osman Türkmen (64) and Fikriye Türkmen (62) lived in the Bahçesaray area of Yenierice village. The flames quickly grew and engulfed the entire house.
TEAMS WERE DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE
Upon notification, fire crews from the municipalities of Uşak and Sivaslı, water tankers from the Forest Management Directorate, AFAD, gendarmerie, and health teams were dispatched to the scene.
FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED BUT...
As a result of the teams' efforts, the fire was extinguished. It was determined that the Türkmen couple, who could not escape from the burning house, died in the fire.
After the examination at the scene, the couple's bodies were taken to the morgue of Sivaslı State Hospital. The Provincial Gendarmerie Commander, Senior Colonel Özgür Kılıç, came to the scene to gather information about the fire.
