Tragic incident in Adana: Two siblings drowned in a canal two years apart.

Muhammed Ahmet, a 14-year-old boy from Adana, lost his life by drowning in an irrigation canal while trying to cool off. It has been learned that the grieving family had also lost their 17-year-old son in the same canal 2 years ago.

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred yesterday in the Yeşilyurt Neighborhood. Allegedly, Muhammed Ahmet, a 14-year-old boy, who went into the irrigation canal on Mavi Boulevard with his friend to cool off, disappeared in the canal. Ahmet's lifeless body was retrieved by the diving police officers who arrived at the scene. Ahmet's body was taken to the forensic medicine institution morgue for autopsy.



Meanwhile, it was revealed that Ahmet's brother, Kasım Ahmet, drowned in the irrigation canal in Yunusoğlu Neighborhood 2 years ago. The grieving family experienced the pain of losing two children in the irrigation canal with a 2-year interval. Father Ahmet Kasım could barely stand with the pain of losing 2 of his 7 children in the irrigation canal. Ibrahim Mustafa, the cousin of the drowned child, said that they made a living by working in agriculture and construction, and that two cousins drowned with a 2-year interval. After the autopsy, the body was taken from the forensic medicine institution morgue and taken to Küçükoba Cemetery to be buried.
