Erzurumspor FK reached its Super Lig goal with a stable structure and proper planning after two challenging seasons marked by a transfer ban and stadium issues. Under the management of Serkan Özbalta, Erzurumspor FK gained momentum this season with a 12-match winning streak, turning the difficult process into a success story with the support of fans and contributions from the squad.

Despite the transfer ban, Erzurumspor FK, which has remained in the Trendyol 1st League for two seasons, is making a name for itself with its success story leading to the Super League.

TRANSFER BAN AND STADIUM COULD NOT STOP ERZURUMSPOR

The blue and white team dropped to the 1st League again a season after rising directly to the Super League in 2019-2020 under the name of Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor, despite rising from the play-off in 2017-2018.

Over the years, Erzurum's representative has struggled with many difficulties such as transfer bans and stadium issues, and although it was in the play-off zone last season, it could not achieve promotion to the Super League. Most recently, at the beginning of the 2025-2026 season, the blue and white team agreed with head coach Serkan Özbalta and lifted the transfer ban, maintaining its current squad while also starting the league strongly with the addition of 11 players.

ACHIEVED A 12-MATCH WINNING STREAK

Starting the league with a victory against Özbelsan Sivasspor, Erzurum's representative gained significant momentum with a 12-match winning streak by December, despite showing inconsistent performance. The winning streak ended with a 3-1 defeat against Eminevim Ümraniyespor, during which the blue and white team scored 38 goals and conceded only 3 in the 12-match period.

After the defeat against Eminevim Ümraniyespor, Erzurumspor FK won all of its next 5 matches and recently drew 1-1 away against Sipay Bodrum FK, ensuring promotion to the Super League with 79 points, increasing the gap with its closest follower Esenler Erokspor to 6 points. Erzurumspor FK achieved its most significant victories of the season at home against Adana Demirspor (7-0) and Manisa FK (8-1).

FANS SUPPORTED THE TEAM EVEN IN MATCHES WHERE POINTS WERE LOST

Fans devoted to the blue and white team have followed home matches from the south and north goal stands behind the goal at Kazım Karabekir Stadium, which was closed due to damage claims from the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes on February 6. In the city known for its cold climate and high altitude, fans maintained the team's motivation high not only with the atmosphere they created in home matches but also with their strong support in away games. Even during periods when the team experienced point losses, the fans continued their support, ensuring that the coaching staff and players kept their motivation at the highest level.

21 GOAL CONTRIBUTION FROM EREN TOZLU

Eren Tozlu, who has carried the team's burden with 21 goals in the league this season while wearing the blue and white jersey, and the outstanding performance of defender Mustafa Yumlu, who has played for Erzurumspor FK for a long time, have also been effective in the team's success. Another key player, Mustafa Fettahoğlu, contributed significantly to the team with 10 goals, becoming the player with the second-highest scoring contribution after Eren Tozlu. The Croatian goalkeeper Matija Orbanic, who has drawn attention with his performance, also provided security in goal.

REMAINING MATCHES FOR DADAŞLAR

With two weeks left in the league, Erzurumspor FK, which has guaranteed its place in the Super League, will complete the season with home matches against Özbeyli Bandırmaspor and away against Arca Çorum FK.

HAS SET A NEW RECORD

Erzurumspor FK reached 79 points in the Trendyol 1st League and secured promotion to the Super League, setting a new record by surpassing İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor and Samsunspor in the league's history during the three-point system era. In the 2013-2014 season, İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor (Başakşehir) reached 78 points to promote to the Super League. Samsunspor also achieved the same success in the 2022-2023 season, securing its place in the Super League.
