Samsunspor, rolling up their sleeves for the new season, has turned their attention to Galatasaray. The Red Lightning are preparing to sit down with center-back Nelsson, who has been unable to find a spot in the yellow-red team.
Samsunspor, aiming to make a name for themselves in the new season with an ambitious and strong squad, has accelerated their transfer efforts.
SAMSUNSPOR WANTS NELSSON
The red-and-whites have turned their attention to Galatasaray's Danish center-back Victor Nelsson to strengthen their defensive line.
PRESIDENT YÜKSEL YILDIRIM TAKES ACTION
Nelsson, 27, who spent last season on loan at the Italian Serie A side Verona, is not included in Galatasaray's new season plans. After the yellow-red management showed willingness to part ways with the player, Samsunspor President Yüksel Yıldırım immediately took action. It was reported that President Yıldırım made the first official contact with Galatasaray executives to negotiate the transfer terms for the Danish defender.
INTEREST FROM ITALY AS WELL
With Verona's relegation, the 8 million Euro purchase option in the experienced defender's contract also became void. It was emphasized that besides Samsunspor, Serie A side Udinese is also in the running for the successful defender, whose contract with Galatasaray expires on June 30, 2027.
EASE IN TRANSFER
Galatasaray's management, wanting to earn at least a small transfer fee from the player entering the final year of his contract, is ready to evaluate offers for Nelsson. It was stated that the yellow-red officials will provide every convenience to both the player and the interested clubs during the transfer process.
SEASON PERFORMANCE
Nelsson, who played 38 matches for Verona in Serie A last season, did not contribute any goals or assists despite his consistent performance.
