U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the Federal Reserve has failed to address the inflation issue, arguing that the bank's focus on social and environmental matters has contributed to rising inflation. Trump claimed that he would stop inflation by increasing energy production and reducing regulations.
US President Donald Trump stated that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) has failed to stop the inflation problem, saying, "If the Fed had spent less time on DEI, gender ideology, green energy, and fake climate change, inflation would never have been a problem." Trump made a statement regarding inflation on his Truth Social account. He argued that Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has "failed to stop the inflation problem they caused" and emphasized that he would address this issue. Trump stated that he would tackle the inflation problem by "increasing production in areas like energy, reducing regulations, and rebalancing international trade."
HE SAID IT'S VERY BAD FOR THE FED
Trump, who said, "But I will do more than just stop inflation. I will strengthen our country financially and in other ways," noted that the Fed has done a "very bad" job regarding bank regulation. He expressed that the US Treasury Department would work to "reduce unnecessary regulations," stating, "If the Fed had spent less time on DEI, gender ideology, green energy, and fake climate change, inflation would never have been a problem. Instead, we experienced the worst inflation in our country's history."
WHAT IS THE DEI PROGRAM?
The DEI program, conducted under the name "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion," operates to create a more "fair and equal" environment, especially in workplaces and schools. Some universities have funding for DEI programs.
On the other hand, DEI has been criticized in recent years for being "politicized and dictating its own ideology."
In universities in the state of Florida, funding allocated for the DEI program was canceled in 2023 for "representing discrimination, exclusion, and brainwashing."
