US President Donald Trump, accusing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of being unwilling to end the war with Russia, said, "I think it's time for Ukraine to get a new president." Criticizing Zelensky over attacks on oil refineries in Russia, Trump called on Ukrainians to find a new leader who can make a peace deal.

US President Donald Trump, in a press statement to journalists before leaving the White House, made assessments about Ukrainian President Zelensky.

"ZELENSKY MUST ABSOLUTELY STOP"

Trump, reminded of Zelensky's criticism regarding the agreement between the US and Russia on diesel fuel, said, "We told him (Zelensky), 'You can do whatever you want against Russia, but don't strike refineries because this is an issue that causes global problems.' But he wants to cause problems for the world. He goes and strikes diesel fuel. He must absolutely stop."

"I THINK IT'S TIME FOR UKRAINE TO GET A NEW PRESIDENT"

Trump accused Zelensky of being unwilling to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, saying, "I think it's time for Ukraine to get a new president."

When asked by a journalist, "What would you advise the suffering Ukrainians to do?", President Trump responded, "I advise (the Ukrainians) to find a new leader who can make a deal, because he actually could have made many deals, but for some reason he makes none."

Trump said, "This war happened because of incompetence. It should never have started. You wouldn't have lost 30 percent of your country. You lost 30 percent of your country and more than 1 million people died. On both sides, a total of more than 2 million people lost their lives."

NOBEL PRIZE COMMENT: THEY GAVE IT TO SOMEONE WHOSE NAME NOBODY HAS EVEN HEARD

Meanwhile, Trump stated that he had not previously known South African lawyer Navanethem Navi Pillay, who received the Nobel Peace Prize, and that the only reason she received the award could be her "anti-Israel stance."

Trump said, "I actually ended 8 raging wars, yet they gave the Nobel Prize to someone whose name nobody has even heard. I had never heard her name before. No one I know had heard her name either. All we know, I suppose, is that she has an anti-Israel stance."

Navi Pillay, who participated via video conference in an event held at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, the capital of Norway, had stated that the US decision to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) was "unacceptable."
