CANADIAN PRIME MINISTER RESIGNS

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced today that he will resign from the prime ministership and party leadership after the Liberal Party elects a new leader.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Trump had mocked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau by referring to him as the "Governor of the Great Canadian State." In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump stated, "It was a great pleasure to have dinner with the Governor of the Great Canadian State, Justin Trudeau, last night."

In response to Trudeau, who stated that a 25% increase in tariffs would negatively impact the Canadian economy, Trump mocked him by calling him "the state governor," saying, "The results will be truly fantastic for everyone. I look forward to seeing the Governor again soon so we can continue our in-depth discussions on tariffs and trade."
