U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized that Iran would absolutely not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons, stating that the U.S. had inflicted significant damage on Iran and could completely destroy its infrastructure if desired, but noted they did not want to escalate tensions. Criticizing the nuclear deal from the Obama era with harsh words, Trump also conveyed that Xi Jinping had denied allegations of China supplying weapons to Iran.

Saying that Iran acquiring nuclear weapons would lead to a global catastrophe, Trump stated, “You can't do that. You can't give Iran a nuclear weapon. The world would perish.” He also mentioned that the process could be resolved in a short time.

Trump, describing the nuclear agreement signed during the Barack Obama era as “the worst deal in history,” reminded that he himself terminated this agreement. He argued that US military interventions have delayed Iran's nuclear program.
