U.S. President Donald Trump has decided to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC), which issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
U.S. President Donald Trump signed a decision imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court due to the arrest warrant against Netanyahu.
With the decree, financial sanctions and visa restrictions may be imposed on individuals and family members who assist ICC investigations against U.S. citizens or U.S. allies.
NETANYAHU HAD ISSUED AN ARREST WARRANT
The ICC had issued an arrest warrant on November 21, 2024, against Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza. If Netanyahu and Gallant travel to a country that is a party to the ICC, they must be arrested by the authorities of that country and handed over to the ICC.
