TRUMP'S "NETANYAHU" OUTBURST IN DAVOS
Trump stated that he told Netanyahu to stop boasting about the Iron Dome, as it is U.S. technology, and claimed they would build the world's best Iron Dome.
"I TOLD HIM TO STOP CLAIMING CREDIT FOR THE IRON DOME"
Trump said: "We will build the world's best Iron Dome. We will also protect Canada. Canada exists because the U.S. is here.
What we did for Israel was incredible... We did this for Israel. We will do much better than the Iron Dome in Israel. What we did for Israel was incredible... We did this for Israel.
We did that too, and I told Israeli Prime Minister Bibi this. I told Netanyahu to stop claiming credit for the Iron Dome, 'Bibi, stop taking credit for the Iron Dome. This is our technology, this is our property.'"
ISRAEL'S IRON DOME SYSTEM
Israel's Iron Dome system is one of the world's most advanced mobile air defense systems designed to intercept short-range rockets, artillery shells, and mortar rounds in mid-air. The system, which consists of an advanced radar unit, a control center, and missile launchers, targets only those projectiles that are calculated to have a high probability of hitting populated areas or critical facilities after detecting a launched projectile.
When a threat is detected, the Tamir missiles launched neutralize the target by destroying it in the sky. Operating with an over 90% success rate, this system plays a strategic role in preventing civilian casualties and structural damage.
