President Erdoğan, making statements in the party group, used the following expressions regarding Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's threats: 'No one can wag their finger at Turkey. They should not forget that we have the power to tear apart mountains. I remind the murderers who insult me once again.' Erdoğan's words were applauded standing by those in the party group.
President Erdoğan, who made evaluations regarding the agenda topics at his party's Parliamentary Group Meeting, responded with harsh words to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's statements targeting Turkey.
"WE WILL CONTINUE TO CALL A KILLER A KILLER"
Erdoğan, who said, "Let everyone know that we will not surrender to the language of hatred, hostility, tension, and conflict stirred up by the genocide network," stated, "We will continue to speak the truth in the most difficult times with dignity, honor, and the nobility and courage we inherited from our history. We will continue to call the oppressor an oppressor, the bandit a bandit, and the killer a killer. My brothers, we will continue to be the voice of the innocent children of Gaza crying out. We will continue to listen to the cries of Palestinian mothers whose hearts are burning with the pain of losing their children. We will continue to defend the rights of our brothers in the West Bank whose lands are occupied. We will continue to pursue the case of the children who were killed while sleeping in their beds in Lebanon. We will continue to throw the truths that someone wants to hide, to cover up with threats and bullying, in their faces."
"NO ONE CAN POINT A FINGER AT TURKEY"
Continuing his speech, Erdoğan hardened his expressions further, saying, "Unlike those who owe their presence in our geography to a favor someone did 100 years ago, we will continue to act with a sense of responsibility in the light of our thousand-year experience on these lands. I remind some truths once again to the baby killers who dare to speak against me and our country on social media. The Republic of Turkey is not an ordinary state. No power can point a finger at Turkey and the President of Turkey. Those fools who think they can chain this nation, which, even in impossibilities, overcomes barriers like a roaring flood, should never forget that we have the power, strength, and determination to tear down mountains when necessary."
Highlights from Erdoğan's statements;
"My esteemed nation, my valuable deputy friends, esteemed members of our press, ladies and gentlemen. I greet you all with my most heartfelt feelings, with respect and love. Together with you, I respectfully greet each of our 86 million citizens whose hearts and consciences are with us here now. Again, through you, our deputies, I send my greetings and love from here to all my fellow travelers who have devoted their hearts to the AK Party's passion for serving the nation and the country, and to all our over 11.5 million members.
After a two-week break, infinite praise and gratitude be to God Almighty for reuniting our hearts. I say welcome to our esteemed guests who have honored our group meeting, and I wish that the evaluations we will make from this rostrum will lead to good for our country, our nation, our party, and our democracy. I thank each of you for your affection and loyalty. I pray that God Almighty makes our solidarity permanent.
At the very beginning of my words, on the occasion of April 14-20 Martyrs' Week, I commemorate with mercy all the heroes who marched to martyrdom on different fronts, from the fight against terrorism to cross-border operations, for the survival of our homeland, the peace of our nation, and the security of our state. May God Almighty make their souls pleased and their places paradise. I also express my gratitude to our heroic veterans for their sacrifices and pray to God for them to have good, healthy, and blessed lives. I present my deepest respects to the esteemed families of our martyrs and once again state that our state will always be by their side.
ATTACK AT A HIGH SCHOOL IN ŞANLIURFA
I also want to share here the sorrow I felt over the incident that occurred yesterday at a high school in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa, which wounded all of us as a nation. Investigations have been initiated regarding the sad and heinous incident, 1 person has been detained, and 4 administrators have been removed from duty. The attack is being investigated in all aspects. Those who have negligence and fault in the incident will definitely be held accountable. Of the 16 injured, 7 have been discharged, and the treatment of our 9 injured continues. I wish a speedy recovery from God Almighty to our injured, and I convey my get-well wishes to their families, our education community, and our brothers and sisters in Siverek.
"WE ARE ADVANCING DETERMINEDLY TOWARDS OUR GOAL"
My valuable deputies, with the high responsibility of being worthy of our nation's appreciation and favor, we are concerned with using every breath we take to serve our country. We are implementing visionary projects that will illuminate our country's horizon in every field, from energy to defense industry, from transportation to family, from education to health. We are advancing determinedly, patiently, resolutely, and steadfastly towards our goal of a fully independent Turkey in energy. I must state this today with great pride. If today our industrialists, producers, farmers, tourism professionals, and transporters have no concerns regarding access to energy despite the wars in our region, behind this lies 23 years of effort, struggle, and labor.
"WE HAVE MOVED TURKEY TO A HIGHER LEAGUE IN ENERGY"
Enriching our energy basket and increasing the number of supplier countries has been our priority from the very beginning. Additionally, with new investments we have made in areas such as hydroelectric, wind, geothermal, solar, and nuclear, we have moved Turkey to a higher league in energy. Our biggest revolution, however, has been in exploration and drilling activities. We decided to carry out oil and natural gas exploration activities, which were previously done for years through leasing methods, with our own means. Then we established the world's fourth-largest deep-sea fleet. With our discovery in the Black Sea, we have essentially broken the devil's leg. We are currently meeting the needs of 4 million households from Black Sea Gas. By 2026, we will increase this number to 8 million households. By 2028, we will be able to meet the natural gas needs of 16-17 million households from our own resources. We are continuing our drilling activities in the Black Sea with our own ships. We are not only exploring in our own seas. We are also making these capabilities available for the benefit of friendly and brotherly countries.
"A CEREMONY THAT MADE OUR CHESTS SWELL WITH PRIDE TOOK PLACE"
My valuable deputy friends. On Friday, a ceremony that made all our chests swell with pride took place in Somalia. Our deep-sea drilling ship Çağrı Bey reached this country to begin hydrocarbon explorations at the CURAD-1 well off the coast of Somalia. With our ship Oruç Reis, we had conducted seismic research over an area of approximately 4500 km2 for 7 months and had reached promising findings. Now, with Çağrı Bey, we are saying 'if God wills' and starting our first drilling. This is also another source of pride for us. CURAD-1, with its depth of 7500 meters, will be the world's second deepest offshore drilling. Our ships named Altan, Korkut, and Sancar, belonging to our navy, will accompany Çağrı Bey in this critical mission. That is, we are now carrying out the tasks for which we were once indebted to others with our own ships, our own engineers, and our own manpower. As I always say, look how far we've come."
Turkey has reached these heights in just 23 years, despite all obstacles. Together with its citizens who have made history and penned epics in a short time, Turkey has attained a level that is a source of pride for all the oppressed. Although some in our country cannot see this because they have closed their eyes to Turkey's achievements, believe me, our friends and brothers see it very clearly. Likewise, our noble nation, with its profound wisdom, is fully aware of everything.
"WE WHOLEHEARTEDLY BELIEVE THE GLAD TIDINGS WILL COME TRUE"
Look. Here, I want to share with you the feelings of a young Somali brother who saw Mr. Çağrı up close. He uses exactly these expressions: "I still haven't gotten over the impact of Mr. Çağrı's ship. Seeing it up close was a breathtaking experience for me. Because Mr. Çağrı was like a walking, colossal city. Huge, brand new, very beautifully built. Mashallah. It's like a work of art." Yes. We see these sincere expressions poured from the heart to the pen of a Somali youth as the finest token of both a powerful Turkey and Turkish-Somali brotherhood. As I always say, we seek not to exploit, but to win together. We wholeheartedly believe that Mr. Çağrı will bring glad tidings to our Somali brothers. We wish our drilling ship Mr. Çağrı clear seas and bountiful drilling. We pray to Almighty Allah for success for our ship's personnel. Just as we rushed to Somalia's aid in 2011 when no one else was there, just as we have never left our Somali brothers alone since that day, God willing, we will continue to shoulder and support the Somali people's struggle for development from now on as well.
"THE GLOBAL SYSTEM IS CRACKING"
My esteemed parliamentary colleagues, we are going through quite intense days in the context of domestic and international developments. We are personally witnessing a period where the late Cengiz Aytmatov's expression "a rose can be worth a century" has practically taken on flesh and bone. While the global system, built upon the rules and institutions established by the victors of the Second World War, is cracking in its economic, political, and security dimensions, what will replace it, what will come next, remains uncertain. Humanity is searching for a way out and salvation, but we cannot yet say that this path has appeared on the horizon. Humanity's longing for peace, stability, security, and a bit of tranquility is unfortunately being dynamited by circles fed by blood and chaos. The latest example of this is the unlawful war that began on February 28th and has brought our region to the brink of the abyss. Who wanted the war, who provoked it, who profited and derived benefits from it has become clear over the time that has passed.
"WE ARE MAKING THE NECESSARY EXHORTATIONS AND INITIATIVES"
The correctness of our assessment on the first day of the war regarding the role of the Zionist lobby has been understood over time. As you know, on the 40th day of the clashes, a 15-day ceasefire was declared thanks to the commendable efforts of our Pakistani brothers. Thus, along with the peoples of the region who have been living with bated breath for weeks, all of humanity took its first easy breath after 40 days. We also expressed our satisfaction with the temporary ceasefire. However, the Israeli government's continuation of attacks against Lebanon has dealt the first blow to peace hopes. Unfortunately, the expected news did not come from the talks hosted by Pakistan over the weekend either. The statements of the parties indicate that, even if the table hasn't been overturned, a bump has been reached in the negotiation process, especially on the nuclear issue. We see tensions rising again in the Strait of Hormuz. We are making the necessary exhortations and initiatives regarding lowering the tension, extending the ceasefire, and continuing the talks. As I said before, negotiations cannot happen with clenched fists. Weapons must not be allowed to speak again instead of words. The window of opportunity opened by the ceasefire must be utilized to the fullest. Especially, the Israeli government, known to be not at all pleased with the ceasefire, must not be allowed to sabotage the process.
My brothers, everyone must understand this once and for all. If there is to be peace in our region, it will be in spite of the Zionist regime. If stability is to be achieved in our region, it will again be in spite of the Israeli government that acts with the delusion of promised lands. If peace is to come to our blood-stained geography, it will likewise be in spite of Israel, which ties its security to the insecurity of others. Because Israel will try every way to sabotage it, as it has done many times before, at the slightest sign of a peace hope. While the humanity front strives to extinguish the fire in our region, the massacre network will carry more wood to the fire.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF SPAIN
Of course, while doing this, they will also continue to insolently target countries raising the voice of peace, especially Turkey and Spain. They will try to silence the conscientious with their pens, their media, and the pawns they use as apparatus. But whatever they do, they will not be able to silence brave hearts, they will not be able to chain the hearts defending right and truth. From here, under the roof of our Grand National Assembly, I wholeheartedly congratulate my esteemed friend, Prime Minister Sanchez of Spain, who has shown a firm stance against the threats of the Gaza butcher Netanyahu. I likewise congratulate the friendly people of Spain on behalf of my country and nation.
RESPONSE TO NETANYAHU'S THREATS
Let everyone know this: we will not surrender to the language of hatred, hostility, tension, and strife fomented by the genocide network. With dignity, honor, and the nobility and courage we inherited from our history, we will continue to speak the truth in the most difficult times. We will continue to call the oppressor an oppressor, the bandit a bandit, the murderer a murderer. My brothers, we will continue to be the screaming voice of the innocent children of Gaza. We will continue to lend an ear to the cries of Palestinian mothers whose livers are burning with the pain of losing their children. We will continue to defend the rights of our brothers whose lands are occupied in the West Bank. We will continue to follow the case of the children slaughtered while sleeping in their beds in Lebanon. We will continue to throw the truths that some want to hide, that they want to cover up with threats and bullying, in their faces. Unlike those who owe their presence in our geography to a favor someone did 100 years ago, we will continue to act with a sense of responsibility in the light of our thousand-year experience on these lands.
I remind the baby killers who dare to insult me and my country on social media of some facts once again. The Republic of Turkey is not an ordinary state. No power can wag its finger at Turkey and the President of Turkey. No one should interpret our being level-headed and prudent as us being 'docile sheep'. No one should fall for such a delusion. We consider it the greatest honor to lie honorably under the ground when necessary, rather than living dishonorably above it.
As Tayyip Erdoğan, myself and all my fellow cause members, we are all children of a heroic nation whose National Anthem begins with the cry "Fear not!". We are members of a political movement whose eleven and a half million members have engraved these magnificent lines into their hearts.
"I have lived free since eternity, I live free. I am amazed at which madman would dare to chain me. I am like a roaring flood, I break and overflow my dam. I tear apart mountains, I do not fit into vast plains, I overflow. If the horizons of the West are encircled by walls of steel armor. I have a frontier like my faith-filled chest. It is the nation. Do not fear. How could such faith be stifled? The so-called civilization is a monster with but a single tooth left." Yes. Let those deluded ones who think they can chain this nation, which, even amidst impossibilities, like a roaring flood, breaks and overcomes dams, never forget that we possess the power, strength, and determination to tear apart mountains when necessary.
"I THANK ALL POLITICIANS WHO REACTED"
On this occasion, I thank all politicians who reacted against the boundless insolence directed at our country and my person, together with our Cumhur Alliance partner, the Nationalist Movement Party Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli. I gladly express that we find this common stance displayed by political parties, struggling to serve the nation in different lanes, very valuable when it comes to Turkey and Turkey's national pride."
