In the investigation coordinated by the Kızılcahamam Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a new development occurred in the simultaneous operation carried out in 5 provinces. A decision was made regarding 5 suspects, including famous singer Tuğba Ekinci, who were detained on charges of sharing 'obscene' content for a fee on social media. 4 people, including suspect Ekinci, were arrested and sent to prison. Judicial control measures were applied to 1 suspect.
Teams from the Ankara Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate, coordinated by the Kızılcahamam Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, began tracking suspects considered to have committed the crime of 'obscenity' on social media. Following technical and physical investigations, the operation was initiated.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION IN 5 PROVINCES: 5 DETAINED INCLUDING TUĞBA EKİNCİ
Within the scope of the investigation, teams identified the addresses of the suspects. Consequently, simultaneous operations were carried out at the determined addresses in 5 provinces. Of the 7 suspects with arrest warrants, 5 were detained during the operations. Famous singer Tuğba Ekinci was among those detained.
THEY ESTABLISHED A PAID PRIVATE MEMBERSHIP SYSTEM
Examinations of the suspects' social media accounts revealed the group's method of generating income. According to the teams' findings, while making sexually explicit posts, the suspects created private accounts on different platforms. It was determined that the suspects, who established VIP and private membership systems through these accounts, provided obscene images and videos to their followers for money.
EKİNCİ AND 3 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
After the completion of procedures at the Ankara Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate Robbery Bureau Office, 4 of the suspects were arrested by the criminal judgeship of peace they were referred to. A judicial control decision was issued for 1 suspect.
AN OPERATION WAS ALSO CARRIED OUT IN FEBRUARY
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had also conducted a separate investigation in February 2026 targeting individuals producing content on the OnlyFans platform, which is blocked in Turkey. In the operation carried out in eight provinces centered on Istanbul, it was claimed that the platform was accessed by changing IP addresses and users were directed to paid content from their public social media accounts.
In the investigation conducted on charges of "obscenity" and "laundering of assets derived from crime," 17 suspects detained were later arrested; two companies, 10 properties, and 14 vehicles were seized. In a statement regarding the investigation, it was claimed that the suspects directed users to paid private content.
