It has been reported that Turkey will begin supplying advanced offensive and defensive weapons to the Syrian army, and that a senior Turkish officer will be appointed as a military advisor in the Syrian Ministry of Defense. Meanwhile, it has been claimed that a method for a joint roadmap was agreed upon during the Erdoğan-Shara meeting held at Beştepe.
Turkey, which supports the new administration in Syria for the democratization of the country and the elimination of the terrorist presence in the region, is preparing to supply advanced offensive and defensive weapons to this country.
A TURKISH OFFICER WILL SERVE AS AN ADVISOR
According to information obtained from security sources, it is also planned for a senior Turkish officer to serve as a military advisor in the Syrian Ministry of Defense. On the other hand, it is reported that the arms package includes fighter jets, air defense systems, and armored vehicles.
THE OFFER CAME FROM THE DAMASCUS ADMINISTRATION
Turkey will play an active role in the restructuring of the Syrian army. While the proposal on the matter came from the Damascus administration, Syrian President Ahmed Shara brought this issue back to the agenda during his visit to Ankara on February 4.
