Zeynep Çelik, who was elected as Turkey's youngest mayor by receiving 47.91% of the votes in the local elections held on March 31, in the town of Kalkım, which is part of the Yenice district of Çanakkale, has joined the AK Party. Her badge was personally presented to her by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin at the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress of the AK Party in Çanakkale.
In the Kalkım Municipality of the Yenice District in Çanakkale, 22-year-old Zeynep Çelik, who was elected as Turkey's youngest mayor with 47.91% of the votes in the independent elections, joined the ranks of the AK Party.

Çelik's badge was pinned by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin at the 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress of the AK Party in Çanakkale. In her speech, Çelik stated, "The value and vision that the AK Party gives to the youth made me make this decision. Being a member of this party is an honor for me. I thank our President for giving me this courage and opportunity," she said.

According to unofficial results, Zeynep Çelik, an independent candidate from the Kalkım Municipality in the Yenice district of Çanakkale, won the election with 47.91% of the votes and became the Mayor. Çelik earned the title of Turkey's youngest female mayor.
22-year-old Zeynep Çelik, daughter of prominent businessman Mehmet Çelik from Yenice, ran as an independent candidate in the Local Government Elections. Winning the election, Zeynep Çelik became the Mayor of Kalkım Municipality according to unofficial results. With this result, Çelik earned the title of Turkey's youngest female mayor. In the Kalkım Municipality, which has a total of 1983 voters, independent candidate Zeynep Çelik was elected mayor with 47.91% of the votes. She was followed by AK Party candidate İbrahim Taşkın with 40.00%.
