Turkish chef killed in drone attack, laid to rest in Samsun

Ilker Lazoğlu, a 47-year-old Turkish head chef who lost his life on a ship hit by a drone off the coast of Russia's Novorossiysk Port, was laid to rest in his hometown of Samsun. One person died and eight were injured in the attack.

A 47-year-old Turkish head cook, İlker Lazoğlu, who lost his life in a drone attack on a ship off the coast of Russia's Novorossiysk Port, was laid to rest in his hometown of Samsun.

While attacks on commercial ships in the Black Sea continue, the Ro-Ro ship named "Ural," which rescued 18 sailors from the cargo ship "Necibe" hit by a drone, was also attacked off Novorossiysk. In the attack, 1 sailor lost his life and 8 people were injured.

LAID TO REST AFTER THE NOON PRAYER

The body of İlker Lazoğlu (47), a head cook and father of 2 children who lost his life in the attack, was brought to his hometown of Samsun. A funeral prayer was held for Lazoğlu today at Canik Merkez Mosque in the Karşıyaka neighborhood of Canik district, following the noon prayer.

İlker Lazoğlu was laid to rest at Kıranköy Family Cemetery after the funeral prayer.
