It is claimed that Turkish citizen Muhammed Çolak was kidnapped by an Afghan gang in Croatia in exchange for ransom. In the video that circulated on social media, Çolak is heard asking for help from the person on the phone, saying, "Brother, please send 3,000 Euros. I swear they will kill me if you don't." The gang also threatened to kill him if the money is not sent. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that they are closely following the incident.

FOREIGN AFFAIRS MAKES STATEMENT REGARDING "RANSOM" ALLEGATIONS

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Coordination and Support Center announced that relevant authorities have been contacted regarding the information that Turkish citizen Muhammed Çolak was kidnapped in Croatia by an unidentified group for ransom.

"WE ARE IN CONTACT WITH CROATIAN AND BOSNIAN AUTHORITIES"

In a post made on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Coordination and Support Center's social media platform X, the following was stated: "Upon receiving information yesterday morning to our Ministry that our citizen named Muhammed Çolak was kidnapped in Croatia by an unidentified group in exchange for ransom, contacts have been made with the authorities of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina without wasting any time. The issue is closely monitored and the family of our citizen is regularly informed about the developments."

"THREATENED WITH DEATH"

On social media, allegations emerged that Turkish citizen Muhammed Çolak was kidnapped by a gang and threatened with death.

Meanwhile, a video recording of the conversation between Muhammed Çolak, who is claimed to have been kidnapped, and the person he called for help from his phone has emerged. In the footage, Çolak can be heard saying to the person on the other end of the phone, "Why aren't you sending money? Please, brother, send 3,000 Euros. Send 2,000 as well. They will kill him, I swear."
