Turkish Football Federation President Ibrahim Hacıosmanoğlu dismissed the referees he locked in the locker room 9 years ago.

TFF President Ibrahim Hacıosmanoğlu has made a surprising move. Hacıosmanoğlu, who was heavily criticized for not allowing the referees of the Trabzonspor-Gaziantep match played 9 years ago to leave the dressing room, has now dismissed some of these individuals from their positions after becoming the TFF President.

According to the news in Milliyet; It has been revealed that Süleyman Abay, Emre Altun, Adil Sinem, who were referees at that time and currently serve as observers, as well as Bahattin Şimşek, Kutluhan Bilgiç, Mustafa Sönmez, who continue their careers as referees, and Taner Gizenci, one of the observers, have applied to the Arbitration Board this week to request the reinstatement of their duties. The letter sent to the Arbitration Board stated that this includes not only the Trabzonspor-Gaziantep match, but also the referees assigned to the controversial Trabzonspor-Konya match.

In the petition submitted to the Arbitration Board, it was stated that "(Referee or observer) has been excluded from the squad without any reason, justification, and in violation of the law. The main reason for this situation is the Trabzonspor-Konyaspor match on October 2, 2015, and the Trabzonspor-Gaziantep match on October 28, 2015. Unfortunately, even after 9 years, all the referees and observers who served in those matches have been dismissed out of revenge."
