Turkish Stock Exchange Up At Friday Open

Benchmark index gains 14.59 points at opening session.

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 9,361.76 points, up 0.16%, or 14.59 points, from the previous close.

On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 0.38% to close at 9,347.17 points, with a daily trading volume of 144 billion liras ($4.64 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 31.077 as of 09.49 a.m. local time (0649GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 33.6650, while a British pound traded for 39.3456 liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $83.19 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,029.85. -
