A 76-year-old man, whose house in Sakarya had 20 truckloads of garbage removed, fell while repairing the roof of his warehouse and lost his life.
A 76-year-old man, from Akyazı, who had trucks full of garbage removed from his home, died after falling from the roof of a warehouse he had climbed to repair.
20 TRUCKLOADS OF GARBAGE REMOVED FROM THE HOUSE
On February 17, teams began an investigation at a house in Yeni Mahalle, which was learned to belong to Tosun, after citizens reported the situation. Inspections revealed that the lower floor of the two-story house was completely filled with garbage. Municipal teams evacuated the accumulated waste from the house and garden with the help of heavy machinery and trucks. During the operation, police and municipal teams took security measures in the area, while health teams remained on standby for possible situations. Approximately 20 truckloads of garbage were removed during the ongoing work on February 18.
DIED AFTER FALLING FROM THE ROOF HE CLIMBED TO REPAIR
Tosun, 76, who had trucks of garbage removed from his home, fell and was seriously injured while trying to repair the roof of a warehouse located in İnönü Mahallesi. Upon notification of the situation, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. After the initial intervention by the arriving health teams at the scene, Tosun was transported to the hospital but unfortunately could not be saved despite all efforts and passed away.
