In the Karataş district of Adana, three friends who went into the sea were caught by waves, resulting in two people drowning and losing their lives, while one person was taken to the hospital.
In the Karataş district of Adana, M.Ö. (24) and H.Y. (17) drowned after being caught by waves in the sea they entered, while one person was taken to the hospital.
DRIFTED OUT TO SEA
The incident occurred at Bahçe Public Beach in the Karataş district. According to allegations, M.Ö. (24), H.Y. (17), and their unnamed friend were swept away by the waves after a while. Upon citizens noticing the situation and reporting it to the 112 Emergency Call Center, the Coast Guard Command, gendarmerie, and medical teams were dispatched to the area.

Meanwhile, with the help of citizens on the beach, the three individuals were pulled from the water and taken to the hospital by ambulances after initial on-site intervention. Despite all medical interventions, M.Ö. and H.Y. could not be saved. It was reported that the third person, whose name is unknown, continues treatment at the hospital. The bodies of M.Ö. and H.Y. were taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy procedures.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
