U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will meet with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara on Friday. Blinken's visit to Turkey comes after the Syrian National Army's clearing of Deir ez-Zor from the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, following their operations in Manbij.
On November 27, Wednesday, armed opposition groups that launched an operation against Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria overthrew the 61-year-old Ba'ath regime in just 12 days without even engaging in any conflict.

The opposition, which continues its advance in the region, took control of Deir ez-Zor today, following Manbij, which Bashar al-Assad left to the terrorist organization PKK/YPG before fleeing the country.
