Ufuk Özkan's 'alimony' protest: Even if I don't spend anything, I can't pay.

Ufuk Özkan, who became famous for his role as 'Cevahir' in one of the most beloved TV series of the time, 'Geniş Aile', contracted cirrhosis due to a wrong diet he followed, and after going through tough days, his treatment yielded positive results. Recently, Özkan has been in the news due to the 'alimony' issue he is facing with his wife.

DIVORCED IN ONE HEARING 2 YEARS AGO

Ufuk Özkan and Nazan Güneş, who got married in 2005, divorced in one hearing 2 years ago. Özkan, who has a son from his quietly separated ex-wife, expressed his outrage over the alimony he pays.

"I DON'T EARN 114 THOUSAND TL, HOW CAN I PAY?"

Özkan stated that he cannot work long hours due to health issues and that he is now only performing in theater plays. Therefore, he mentioned that he cannot earn enough money to pay the alimony amount set. The famous figure said he has filed for a reduction in alimony.

Özkan said, "I can't live minimally. You know, I divorced 2 years ago. My alimony increased from 45 thousand TL to 74 thousand TL. Now it has become 114 thousand TL. I don't earn 114 thousand TL a month, so how can I pay the alimony? I have already filed for a reduction in alimony. Even if I don't spend anything, I can't pay this amount," he stated.

"I AM NOT MAKING A SERIES, MY INCOME HAS DROPPED"

Özkan, 49, who stated that he is not making a series for his health and that this has caused a significant drop in his income, said, "I am doing theater. My income has certainly dropped significantly compared to the times I worked in series. I am not making a series for my health. I have understood the value of my health much better after what I have experienced. I am not someone who goes out a lot in my private life either. I am a man who goes from work to home and from home to work. Even in the places we go for my theater play, I don't go out much. I go from the hotel to the play," he said.
