The UK has proposed that the 4 Typhoon fighter jets it will send to Bahrain and Qatar be used to protect against missile and drone attacks from Iran on Gulf countries.
England has offered air defense support to Bahrain against Iran's attacks in the region.
According to a written statement from the Prime Minister's Office at Number 10, Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke on the phone with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain yesterday.
THEY MADE AN OFFER FOR AIR DEFENSE SUPPORT
During the meeting, Starmer proposed to provide additional air defense support to strengthen Bahrain's security with the 4 Typhoon fighter jets they will send to Qatar.
The operational teams of the two countries agreed to work together on plans for this step in the coming days.
THEY HAD ANNOUNCED THEY WOULD SEND FIGHTER JETS TO QATAR
In a statement yesterday regarding the recent developments in the Middle East, Prime Minister Starmer mentioned that they would send 4 more Typhoon fighter jets to Qatar. Starmer noted that his country took this step to strengthen defense operations in Qatar and the region.
US-ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON IRAN
Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations.
Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.
Iran's Health Ministry spokesperson, Hossein Kermanpur, announced that 926 people lost their lives in the US-Israel attacks.
