During the evening prayer in Erzurum, a member of the congregation kicked a cat that had become tangled around his feet. The force of the blow sent the cat flying, and it struck the head of the imam leading the prayer before fleeing the mosque. The imam, who couldn't understand what had hit him, only realized what had happened after watching the security camera footage following the prayer.
An incident that occurred during the evening prayer at Adalar Mosque in the Aziziye district of Erzurum was captured on security camera.
While the prayer was ongoing, a cat wandering inside the mosque entered among the congregation standing in rows. After circling around the worshippers for a while, the cat approached the foot of one person in the congregation.
KICKED THE CAT
At that moment, a person from the congregation suddenly kicked the cat that had brushed against his foot. The cat, flung into the air by the force of the blow, was hurled directly toward the spot where the imam was leading the prayer at the front.

After striking the imam's head, the flung cat quickly fled the mosque. Following the incident during the prayer, the imam appeared briefly bewildered.
While continuing his prayer, the imam could not immediately understand what had hit his head.

After the evening prayer was completed, the imam, curious about what had struck his head, reviewed the mosque's security camera recordings.
Watching the footage, the imam thus saw that a person from the congregation had kicked the cat, and the animal, thrown into the air, had hit his head. The moments were captured second by second on the mosque's security camera.
