In the Tavas district of Denizli, during a dispute over the division of assets, an uncle and his nephew got into a fight, during which the uncle, Ramazan G., shot and killed his nephew, Osman Karaalp, with a shotgun. Ramazan G.'s wife, Elif G., was also injured in the incident.
A dispute broke out between an uncle and his nephew in Denizli due to a feud over property sharing. As the argument escalated, the angry uncle shot and killed his nephew, who had attacked him and his wife with a piece of wood. The incident occurred in the Kızılca neighborhood of the Tavas district. According to the information obtained, Uncle Ramazan G. (74) and his nephew Osman Karaalp (44), who are also neighbors, began to argue in the street in front of their homes due to a long-standing feud over property. As the argument intensified, Ramazan G.'s wife, Elif G., also got involved in the fight between the uncle and nephew. At that moment, it was learned that Osman Karaalp, who also had mental health issues, began to assault his uncle Ramazan G. and aunt Elif G. with a piece of wood he picked up from a pile of wood by the roadside. Noticing that his wife had collapsed to the ground after being struck, Ramazan G. returned to the scene with a gun he had taken from his home. Ramazan G. then opened fire on Osman Karaalp.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE INCIDENT
As a result of the gunfire opened by Ramazan G., Osman Karaalp collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood. Upon the notification of nearby citizens, a large number of gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Medical teams determined that Osman Karaalp had died at the scene after their initial intervention. Elif G., who was seriously injured in the fight, was taken to the hospital by ambulance. After her initial treatment at Tavas State Hospital, Elif G. was transferred to Denizli. The lifeless body of Osman Karaalp, who died at the scene, was taken to the Morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution Denizli Group Directorate after the investigations at the scene. It was reported that Elif G. was in critical condition, while Ramazan G. was detained after his treatment at Tavas State Hospital. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
