Galatasaray's Nigerian star forward Victor Osimhen will initiate legal proceedings and file a defamation lawsuit due to physical assault allegations following a dispute with journalist Tolga Bozduman last week.
"I WAS NOT IN A NIGHTCLUB"
Osimhen denied the allegations, stating that the incident occurred outside a restaurant, not in a nightclub. The Nigerian star said, "I had dinner with my friends at an African restaurant. After the meal, we went outside, and we were looking at a friend's new car. They pointed their cameras at my face and started filming without saying anything. I was shocked and asked why they were behaving that way."
LEGAL PROCESS WILL BE INITIATED
According to Sözcü's report; Osimhen will initiate legal proceedings regarding the incident. The star striker stated in his remarks on the matter, "I am not unfamiliar with such incidents. Unfortunately, they lied. But this will not be easy. If I really hit him, he will get his rights. But if he lied, he will see the power of the law."
"I NEVER HIT ANYONE"
Osimhen stated that he did not physically assault anyone, expressing that he only wanted the photos to be deleted, saying, "I never hit this person. I went up to him and told him he needed to delete the photos because it is my right. However, I did not use any physical violence in any way." Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo also supported Osimhen's statements, saying, "Of course, he did not touch anyone. I was there too," providing support to his teammate.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Journalist Tolga Bozduman claimed that Osimhen attacked him after the match in which Galatasaray drew 3-3 with Dynamo Kyiv. Bozduman stated, "While taking a photo, Osimhen came at me shouting, tried to take my camera, and punched me in the head. The right side of my head still hurts."
