Following Iran's missile attack that shook Israel, a red alert was issued. All schools across the country were closed, strict restrictions were imposed on gathering areas, and the public was called to keep emergency shelters ready for immediate use. All eyes are on Ben Gurion Airport, which could be closed to air traffic at any moment.
The missile attack launched by Iran against Israel has escalated tensions in the Middle East to a peak. Following an emergency assessment by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the Israeli Home Front Command has implemented extraordinary security measures across the country. In line with the first decision made by the crisis team, education has been indefinitely suspended nationwide and all schools have been closed.
STRICT CONTROL OVER GATHERING AREAS
Aiming to minimize the risk of civilian casualties, authorities have imposed strict restrictions on areas where people gather. According to the new security protocol, outdoor gatherings are limited to a maximum of 200 people, and indoor events are restricted to a maximum of 500 people.
As siren sounds echo intermittently across the country, a spokesperson for the Israeli Home Front Command issued a vital warning to citizens. The statement said, "We ask our people to ensure that the safe rooms and shelters in the buildings where they live are immediately ready for use, or to immediately learn the location of the nearest public shelter in their vicinity."
EYES ON INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT ROUTES
As the hot conflict continues in the region, attention has turned to international transport routes. According to a report by Israel-based Channel 12 television, the country's largest airline hub, Ben Gurion Airport, is currently continuing to serve civilian flights. However, it is reported that due to increased military activity and security threats, authorities are very seriously considering the option of closing the airport to all flights.
