The Istanbul Governorship announced that local heavy rainfall is expected after noon on Sunday. It reminded citizens to be cautious and take precautions against disruptions in transportation, floods, waterlogging, lightning, and strong winds.

According to the latest assessments from the Meteorology Istanbul Regional Forecast and Early Warning Center; due to the influence of a rainy system on the western parts of the region, the expected rainfall after noon tomorrow (Sunday) is anticipated to be heavy rain and showers in the Thrace Region (Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ), with strong rain mixed with snow and snow at higher altitudes over time, and locally heavy (21-50 kg/m2) showers expected in Istanbul, Kocaeli, and Yalova. The warning center emphasized the need to be cautious and take precautions against adverse conditions such as floods, waterlogging, lightning, strong winds, snowfall, blizzards, and disruptions in transportation in the areas where these conditions are expected.
