Warnings have come one after another! Air temperatures will suddenly drop.

Meteorology and AKOM issued consecutive warnings. The false spring that has been affecting Istanbul during the week will give way to cold weather. It is predicted that temperatures in the megacity, as well as in the general Marmara Region, will drop suddenly by 8-10 degrees, returning to winter values, and that there will be occasional heavy rain showers.

AKOM: TEMPERATURES WILL DROP SUDDENLY

According to the latest forecasts from AKOM, cold weather is expected to be effective in the Marmara Region, especially in Istanbul. It is predicted that with the strengthening of the wind from Saturday morning, temperatures will suddenly drop by 8-10 degrees, returning to winter values, and there will be intermittent heavy showers across the province. A warning has been issued to be careful and cautious regarding the rains that will continue until Tuesday.

HEAVY RAIN IS COMING

According to the latest forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology; it is expected that the general weather of our country will be partly and very cloudy, with rain and showers in Marmara, Aegean (except Afyonkarahisar), Western Black Sea, the east of Southeastern Anatolia, and around Şırnak, while Bitlis, Van, and Hakkari will experience mixed rain and snow. The rains are expected to be locally heavy in Istanbul, Kocaeli, Yalova, Tekirdağ, and Kırklareli, as well as in the northern parts of Çanakkale and Balıkesir. It is predicted that frost and freezing, along with fog and local mist, will be seen in the inner and eastern parts of our country. The Meteorology has warned citizens about the avalanche risk in the high areas of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

FROST AND AVALANCHE WARNING

Due to the expected heavy rains in Istanbul, Kocaeli, Yalova, Tekirdağ, and Kırklareli, as well as in the northern parts of Çanakkale and Balıkesir, the Meteorology has issued a warning to be careful and cautious against possible adverse conditions. Additionally, it has been emphasized that caution and preparedness are necessary for transportation due to the avalanche risk in the high areas of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia, as well as the expected frost and freezing in the inner and eastern parts.
