Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who made a "purification" call in a video he released one day before the court's absolute nullity decision and was thus claimed to have prior knowledge of the decision, denied the allegation during a live broadcast. Clearly very tense, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "Look, if you can prove that I ever went to court, spoke to a judge, or had any kind of relationship, I will resign from the CHP leadership tomorrow morning."
CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu firmly denied allegations that he was informed of the court's absolute nullity decision in advance, due to his "purification" video published one day before the ruling, during a live broadcast. Visibly tense, Kılıçdaroğlu emphasized that claims of prior communication with the court panel or any judge were completely unfounded.
"IF YOU CAN PROVE IT, I'LL RESIGN FROM THE PARTY CHAIRMANSHIP TOMORROW"
Speaking on Sözcü TV's live broadcast, Kılıçdaroğlu said: "If I knew the decision would come out, would I have released such a video a day earlier?
I already film regular videos at certain times. Look, if you can prove that I ever went to court, spoke with a judge, or had any contact with one, I will resign from the CHP Chairmanship tomorrow morning.
"THE PARTY MUST BE CLEANSED OF DIRT"
Such incidents are directly brought up with the intent to wear us down. I talk about purification in the video. I've said it before, many times. The party must be cleansed of dirt, period. I say the same today. This party does not accept dirt.
Historically, we've been called communists, fascists, an irreligious party. But never, at any time, has anyone questioned the moral superiority of the party. The party's fundamental trait is its high moral culture. When a CHP member speaks, everyone listens carefully, because they know this person has moral superiority. All criticisms based on morality should be taken into account. The party never accepts dirt."
