A statement has been made regarding the claim by Abdurrahman Karabulut, the lawyer for Rojin Kabaiş's family, concerning the substances Rocuronium and Ornidazole detected in the autopsy report, alleging that these chemicals were administered to Kabaiş orally, causing her to be rendered unconscious and her breathing paralyzed, leading to her death. According to the report of the Forensic Medicine Institute, it was stated that the substances in question were administered during an operation Rojin underwent one month before she disappeared, and that it took two months for these substances to leave the body.
While the investigation continues into the discovery of the lifeless body of Rojin Kabaiş, a first-year student in the Preschool Teaching Department of the Faculty of Education at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, found on the shore of Van Lake in Molla Kasım Village on October 15, 2024, after she went missing, a striking claim came from the family's lawyer, Abdurrahman Karabulut. He alleged that the substances Rocuronium and Ornidazole, detected in Rojin Kabaiş's autopsy report, were administered to Rojin orally, and that she was killed after being rendered unconscious.
THE DRUG WAS GIVEN FOR ANESTHESIA DURING SURGERY
The Forensic Medicine Institute report refuted Karabulut's claim. According to the report, the active substance Rocuronium was administered to Rojin Kabaiş as an anesthetic agent during surgery she underwent on September 11, 2024. It was stated that the Rocuronium substance can remain in the body for up to two months medically. For this reason, it was noted that the detection of this substance in the body from the surgery performed approximately one month before Rojin's death was possible given her medical history.
"NO TOXIC SUBSTANCES WERE FOUND IN THE AUTOPSY"
Furthermore, it was stated that the detected ornidazole substance is an active ingredient of a drug used in infection treatment, and no toxic substances investigated within the scope of the autopsy were found.
It was clearly stated that the detected alcohol level was not at a level that could alone cause death and was evaluated to have occurred due to decomposition, and when these findings were evaluated together, there was no medical evidence that Rojin Kabaiş died from poisoning.
