In Karaman, an elderly woman woke up for sahur with her daughter-in-law's phone and noticed that the house was on fire. She managed to escape outside and asked those nearby for help for her husband, who was trapped inside. The teams that intervened in the flames found the lifeless body of the 84-year-old man.

In the village of Kayaönü, located in the Ermenek district of Karaman, a fire broke out in the two-story house of Mustafa (84) and Şerife Sak (73) around 03:00. Şerife Sak noticed the fire when she woke up for sahur after receiving a phone call from her daughter-in-law Ayşe Sak.

Sak, who jumped out from among the flames, asked for help from those around to rescue her husband Mustafa Sak, who has Alzheimer's disease. Firefighters and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the address following a report from neighbors.

The teams intervening in the fire reached the lifeless body of Mustafa Sak. Sak's body was taken to the morgue of Ermenek State Hospital for autopsy. The cooling efforts continued until noon, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Investigations by the fire department and gendarmerie teams are ongoing.
