In Ceuta, Spain, 62-year-old Beatriz Ferron experienced a great shock when she woke up in the morning and saw a half-naked stranger in her bed. The suspect, who had slipped in through the balcony of the fifth-floor apartment, fled upon seeing her husband and son, who rushed into the room at the woman's screams. While the suspect was apprehended on the roof of an abandoned building and taken into custody, the intense migratory pressure and security failures that the city has recently faced have once again become the focus of debate following this horrifying incident.
Beatriz Ferron, 62, living in Ceuta, Spain, experienced the biggest shock of her life when she woke up. An unidentified man entered through the balcony of her fifth-floor apartment, went into her bedroom, and lay down on the bed wearing only his underwear.

In the incident on Paseo de las Palmeras, Ferron, who woke to find a stranger half-naked in her bed, initially thought the person beside her was her husband. When she turned and made eye contact with a man she didn't recognize, the unfortunate woman began screaming.
As her husband and son, who were having breakfast, rushed into the room, the panicked suspect fled through the balcony he had entered from and hid on the roof of a nearby abandoned building. Thanks to the rapid response of police units, the suspect was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.
"OUR SENSE OF SECURITY IS GONE"
Describing the trauma she experienced, Ferron said, "Because of this person who forcibly entered my home and came to my bed, I feel completely violated."
Her son Nacho, reacting on social media, emphasized that the incident has turned their family's lives upside down psychologically. The suspect, who will face charges of theft and violation of the sanctity of the home, is expected to be brought before the court.
MIGRATORY PRESSURE DRAWS ATTENTION IN THE CITY
Ceuta, where the incident occurred, has recently been grappling with one of the largest migration crises in its history. At the end of July, approximately 72,000 migrants crossing into the city via Morocco had escalated security concerns to their peak. Following these mass crossings, Spanish authorities raised security measures in the city to the highest level.
