A man who was not allowed to marry his girlfriend in Izmir went on a rampage. The enraged man shot his 17-year-old girlfriend and her mother with a shotgun. While the mother and daughter were seriously injured, the suspect was arrested and sent to prison.
On January 16th at around 17:30, Y.K. (29), who was not allowed to marry his girlfriend by her family, unleashed terror in the Yurtoğlu neighborhood of the Karabağlar district in İzmir.
SHOT HIS GIRLFRIEND AND HER MOTHER WITH A SHOTGUN
Taking his relative H.K. with him, Y.K. shot his 17-year-old girlfriend Ş.Ş. and her mother D.Ş. with a shotgun. While the mother and daughter were seriously injured, the suspects fled the scene. The moment of the suspects' escape was captured by nearby security cameras, and it was learned that the mother and daughter were in critical condition.
BOTH WERE ARRESTED
Following the incident, teams from the İzmir Public Security Branch's Homicide Bureau, Crime Analysis Bureau, and Intelligence Branch initiated an investigation. Through technical and physical surveillance, the coordinated teams determined that the suspects had fled to a wooded area in Karabağlar. The suspects were caught red-handed, and the weapon used in the crime, a shotgun, was also seized. After processing at the police station, Y.K. and H.K. were sent to the courthouse and were arrested by the court they were brought before.
