The control group was assigned to evaluate both the physical condition of the mine and the health and safety conditions of the workers underground, as the action has surpassed 48 hours. The control group includes union management, engineers, and experienced miners.
FAMILIES HAVE ALSO COME TO SUPPORT
In difficult conditions where the air temperature has dropped below 5 degrees at night and rain is effective, the workers remaining above ground are trying to warm themselves by lighting fires and continue to support their friends underground. The families of the workers have also joined the resistance, strengthening solidarity. Spouses, children, and relatives gather in the area to provide moral support and emphasize that they stand behind the demands. Support also came from politicians for the action. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, HAK-İŞ Chairman Ergün Atalay, National Path Party Chairman Remzi Çayır, Sevda Karaca from the Labor Party (EMEP), CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, and many political figures visited the mining site to express their support for the miners' struggle.
