In the Çiğli district of İzmir, a father and son who were repairing the roof of a house fell down due to a strong gust of wind. They were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but unfortunately, both father and son could not be saved and lost their lives.
At around 5:00 PM in the Güzeltepe neighborhood on 8422 Street in the Çiğli district of İzmir, an incident occurred in a two-story house; Muharrem Barışık (43), who was doing roof repair work, and his son Eren Barışık (17) went up to the roof of a three-story house for the repairs. During this time, the strong winds that were effective swept the father and son off, causing them to fall from a height of approximately 10 meters. Upon the notification of the surrounding people, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
A COMPREHENSIVE INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE INCIDENT
In the examination conducted by the medical teams, it was determined that the father, Muharrem Barışık, had lost his life at the scene. Eren Barışık, who was severely injured, was taken by ambulance to Çiğli Training and Research Hospital, but despite all interventions, he also lost his life. The bodies of the father and son were taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after the examination. A comprehensive investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
