The fire at the historic artillery outpost in Sarıyer was reported to have started after an unauthorized music video shoot. Barış Koçak, who was apparently filming the video, along with 10 other individuals, has been taken into custody.
In the Büyükdere neighborhood of Sarıyer district in Istanbul, a three-story wooden building, which is reported to have been an old police station, caught fire. Upon notification, a large number of firefighters, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
IT BECAME UNUSABLE
While the building was engulfed in flames, damage occurred, and the firefighters had difficulty reaching the scene due to narrow streets and improperly parked vehicles. As the firefighters reached the address and began to intervene, the police took security measures in the surrounding area. The fire was brought under control and extinguished after approximately two hours of work by the firefighters. After the fire, the building became unusable.
11 PEOPLE DETAINED FOR UNAUTHORIZED CLIP SHOOTING
In the investigations, it was determined that an 11-person crew had been shooting a clip in the building without permission before the fire, and that the fire broke out because they threw their cigarette into the wooden building. Barış Koçak, who was found to be shooting the clip, and the 10 people with him were captured and detained. The processing of the detained suspects is ongoing at the police station.
