As the suspect fled the scene, a police investigation revealed that the 20-year-old young man had previously secretly recorded the young woman and her 55-year-old mother as well, and that there were 10 separate videos on his phone.

When she screamed, the suspect fled the scene, and during the police investigation it emerged that the 20-year-old man had previously secretly filmed both the young woman and her 55-year-old mother. It was reported that the sentence of the suspect, who admitted his crime, will be announced on December 17.
HE EXTENDED HIS PHONE THROUGH THE WINDOW WHILE SHE WAS SHOWERING
The incident occurred on April 8, 2026, in a public housing estate in Singapore.
According to the information obtained, the 20-year-old suspect went to a sports area at around 9:20 p.m. While passing in front of the apartment where the young woman lived, he climbed onto a ledge and tried to peer inside the home.
However, unable to see inside because the curtains were closed, the suspect returned to the sports area.
About 30 minutes later, hearing the sound of a shower coming from the apartment, the suspect approached the outside of the bathroom. He extended his phone through the bathroom window and began secretly recording the 19-year-old woman.
HE FLED WHEN THE YOUNG WOMAN SCREAMED
Noticing the phone extended through the window while she was showering, the young woman was terrified and screamed.
The suspect quickly left the scene after the young woman shouted.
After what happened, the young woman's 55-year-old mother called the police and reported it.
HE HAD ALSO SECRETLY RECORDED HER MOTHER
In the investigation launched by the police, the suspect's identity was identified. Examinations of his phone revealed that the incident was not a one-time occurrence.
It was determined that the suspect secretly filmed the young woman's 55-year-old mother in the bathroom on March 22.
In addition, 10 separate videos were found in which he recorded the 19-year-old woman while she was showering, changing clothes, and using the toilet between March 30 and April 8.
Thus, it emerged that the mother and daughter were subjected to the suspect's secret recordings on different dates.
SHE DOES NOT FEEL SAFE IN HER OWN HOME
In court, it was stated that the incident negatively affected the young woman's psychological state.
It was conveyed that after the incident, the young woman felt vulnerable and unsafe in her own home.
It was learned that after the incident, the family began making sure the bathroom window was closed before taking a shower.
HE ADMITTED HIS CRIME
The 20-year-old defendant pleaded guilty to two separate voyeurism charges at the court he was brought before on October 27.
It was reported that a third charge against him would also be taken into account when determining the sentence.
The court issued a publication ban to protect the identities of the 19-year-old woman and her 55-year-old mother.
The hearing at which the defendant's sentence will be announced was adjourned to December 17.
