Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, who officially took office after taking the oath of office. "YOUR FIRST TERM WAS FILLED WITH LANDMARK MOMENTS IN THE HISTORY OF THE GREAT ALLIANCE"In a video message he published, Netanyahu stated, "Your first term as President was filled with landmark moments in the history of the great alliance between our countries." Netanyahu continued his remarks as follows: "You withdrew from the dangerous Iran nuclear deal, recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. You moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and recognized Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights. You facilitated the historic Abraham Accords, through which Israel made peace with four Arab countries." "I AM CONFIDENT THAT WE WILL DEFEAT THE IRANIAN AXIS"Netanyahu expressed his belief that they would "advance the U.S.-Israel alliance even further by working together again," and stated that he was confident they would defeat the "Iranian axis" in the region and initiate "a new era of peace and prosperity" for the region.
