Master artist Cansever, who won the hearts of large audiences with his uniquely powerful interpretation of Arabesque and Romani music, with his performances of "Cemalim" and "Kara Çadır", passed away today in Germany, where he was receiving treatment for leukemia, a disease he had been battling for some time.
SUITABLE DONOR WAS BEING WAITED FOR BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT
The famous artist, whose real name was Dzansever Dalipova, had been diagnosed with leukemia, and it was announced that the treatment process was continuing in Germany. The 59-year-old master musician, whose process had reached a critical stage and for whom a bone marrow transplant operation was planned if a suitable donor could be found, could not be saved despite all the doctors' interventions.

Cansever, who was born on July 8, 1967, in the city of Veles, North Macedonia, as the youngest of a family of 7 children of Romani descent whose father was from Selanik and mother was an immigrant from Bulgaria, lost one of his eyes due to a stick thrown by children on the street when he was just 12 years old.
In 1994, the artist contracted ankylosing spondylitis (Morbus Behterew) and had to live bent over double for many years. He regained his health in 2009 after a difficult operation in Germany, where he had settled in 2007.

Cansever, who stepped into music at a young age, released his first album, Kemano Başal E Romenge, in Macedonia in 1992. In 1997, he achieved a great breakthrough in Turkey with the Yemeni folk song "Kara Çadır", which he performed on the "İbo Show" program hosted by İbrahim Tatlıses.
The master artist, who officially began his career in Turkey with the album Meçhul released the same year, became one of the unforgettable names of arabesque music with his albums Cemalim in 1998 and Yollar Hasta Ben Yorgunum in 2000. After periods when he took a break from music due to health problems, he presented to his listeners Farklı Yorum in 2006, the foreign album Hey Denysha in 2013, Ben Ne Günler Gördüm and the single Roman Kızı in 2014, and the albums Hala Seviyorum in 2015 and Doya Doya Arabesk, which made waves with the hit "Kime Bu İnat" in 2016.

The artist, who made the duets "Yenildik" with Haktan in 2017 and "Son Ütücü" with Barış in 2018, achieved great popularity in 2019 with the song "Havalı Geliyor", which he performed with Kobra Murat & DJ Yılmaz. This work, which became a phenomenon after being used in the TV series Çukur, was the lead track of the album Cansever Ce, which bears his own name.
