An Israeli military official said that the Israeli army maintains a high level of readiness on all fronts and is prepared to immediately return to fighting if necessary. According to a US official speaking to Channel 12, a possible attack could lead to the postponement of the elections to be held in Israel on October 27.

Reports that the U.S. is preparing a possible attack on Iran have also risen to the top of the agenda in Israel. The Israeli military announced that it is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East.

“WE DO NOT COMMENT ON UNOFFICIAL REPORTS”

An Israeli military official who asked not to be named, in response to a question about a possible U.S. attack on Iran, said, “The Israeli military does not comment on unofficial reports or statements.”

When asked about the military’s level of readiness, the official gave the following answer:

“We emphasize that the Israeli military has at no stage ceased maintaining a high level of operational readiness in the defense and offense domains, on all fronts.”

“WE ARE READY TO RETURN TO CONFLICT AT ANY MOMENT”

Stating that they continuously assess the situation, the official said, “We are constantly assessing the situation, closely monitoring developments in the Middle East, and always maintaining our readiness to immediately return to conflict if necessary.”

CLAIM THAT ZAMIR WAS BRIEFED

A senior U.S. official speaking to Israel’s Channel 12 alleged that Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir had been briefed about the U.S. military’s preparations to restart strikes against Iran in the coming weeks.

According to the same official, Zamir warned that if the war restarts within 3 weeks, the Israeli elections planned for October 27 could be postponed.

ELECTIONS IN ISRAEL MAY BE POSTPONED

It is said that Israel is preparing for the possibility that Iran launches a missile attack on Israel after a possible U.S. strike. It was also reported in the press that the Israeli military had prepared in recent months a list of targets it plans to strike in Iran if the fighting restarts.

If Tel Aviv participates in an attack on Iran, declaring a state of emergency in the country and postponing the general elections on October 27 could come onto the agenda.

IN POLLS, NETANYAHU’S BLOC MISSES A MAJORITY

According to a poll published by Israel’s Channel 13 on October 8, the bloc led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will win 55 seats in the 120-seat Knesset. The opposition bloc will win 50 seats, and Arab parties will win a total of 15 seats. According to the poll, Netanyahu cannot reach the 61 seats needed to form a government. According to a source speaking to Channel 12, in the last phone call between U.S. President Trump and Netanyahu, Netanyahu’s standing in pre-election polls was also discussed.

NYT: ATTACK PLANS ARE BEING PREPARED

The New York Times, in a report based on unnamed U.S. officials, wrote that the U.S. military had prepared possible attack plans against Iran on the orders of President Donald Trump.

The report said that 3 U.S. military aircraft carriers were about to reach the Middle East. It was conveyed that attack options against Iran’s missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) arsenal, energy facilities, and other military targets were being evaluated.

TRUMP: NO ATTACK UNTIL THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS

U.S. President Trump, meanwhile, had announced that they would not launch an attack on Iran until the congressional midterm elections on November 3.
