A tragic drone attack targeted civilians sunbathing on a beach in the Ukrainian port city of Odesa. In the attack carried out by a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle on the shore, a woman resting on a lounger died from severe injuries to her neck.
BIG PANIC ON THE BEACH
A wave of panic swept through the beach at the moment of the attack; as the explosion sounded, vacationers and business employees frantically sought shelter. After the initial shock, those nearby mobilized to help the wounded.
INTERVENTION PROVED INSUFFICIENT
Immediately after the incident, numerous police and emergency medical teams were dispatched to the beach. The intense first aid efforts and attempts to stop the bleeding carried out by medical personnel on the shore to keep the severely injured woman alive unfortunately proved futile.
AREA CORDONED OFF
Security forces cordoned off the beach where the attack occurred and launched a comprehensive investigation. This event, once again highlighting the harsh reality of war and the horror of targeting civilian areas, caused great shock and fear among other vacationers on the beach.
